Things to See & Do in Fareham

Fareham Town Centre has much to offer on top of great shopping. Stay a little while longer and you’ll discover so much more!

Soak Up Some History

  • The graceful High Street with its fine Georgian buildings
  • The waterfront where you can trace Fareham’s history as a commercial port or relax and take in the views over Fareham Creek
  • Westbury Manor Museum which tells the story of Fareham and also houses the Tourist Information Centre and a fine walled Victorian garden
  • The Henry Cort Sculpture Park which celebrates the achievements of Fareham’s 18th century ‘man of iron’

Be Entertained

Take in one of the latest film releases at the 5 screen Reel cinema, see a show or concert at Ferneham Hall or attend one of the music, film, comedy, or dance events at Ashcroft Arts Centre.

The very popular library is a comfortable and relaxed place to browse your favourite magazine or daily newspaper and a valuable source of local information; there’s a range of giftware for sale and the library hosts some community activities.

Get Active

For those feeling energetic there are a number of fitness clubs and gyms located right in the heart of the Town Centre. Also less than 10 minutes’ walk up Trinity Street you’ll find Fareham Leisure Centre with a 25m swimming pool and a range of sports facilities.

Enjoy a latté whilst watching the kids use up their energy in the Play Area just outside Fareham Shopping Centre or take them for a short walk to the Bath Lane Recreation Ground.
