The race is on at late night opening launch to win Olympic break

Fareham Shopping Centre will launch its Christmas late night shopping on Thursday 17th November 2011 where shoppers are invited to visit the Capital Pad for a chance to win an Olympic break for two.

The Capital Pad will form part of a special launch party hosted by 103.2 Capital FM’s Street Stars. To help kick start the event that will take place between Card Factory and H.Samuel within the mall from 3.30pm to 7.30pm, the Capital Street Stars will be joined by Mayor Councillor Trevor Cartwright MBE and Mayoress Mrs Ruth Cartwright. Many stores will remain open until 8pm.

Shoppers will be invited to ‘take five’ to relax on the beanbags and indulge in a spot of Xbox. Those that take a moment to chill out from their shopping will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win tickets to two Olympic Games and overnight accommodation from Thomas Cook.

Shoppers can go head-to-head in the ‘Beat the intro’ challenge for a chance to win one of ten spot prizes from stores throughout the mall including Bhs, Next, Debenhams, Boots, M&S, Waterstone’s, Game, Superdrug, Thorntons and JD Sport.

Christmas gift wrapping will also be available on the night for those that prefer to spend their time enjoying the festivities rather than painstakingly making their mound of gifts look pretty! All proceeds will go to 103.2 Capital FM’s charity, Help a Capital Child.

Fareham Shopping Centre’s Pam Marsden, Centre Director, said: “The Capital Pad will be a sanctuary for Fareham Shopping Centre’s shoppers to take a quick break from their Christmas present hunt and we’d urge people to come along and join in with the fun.’

‘Cramming in the Christmas present buying isn’t always simple so, to make our shoppers lives easier, many stores will be open until 8pm every Thursday from 17th November and then every night from Thursday 15th December to Christmas Eve, with some late nights until 9pm. Check individual stores for opening times.”
