Charity wishing well has moved

Published: Sunday, 08 April 2012

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been chosen by the Rotary Club of Fareham to receive the money donated to the club’s wishing well in Fareham Shopping Centre for the next few months.

The well has been moved to a new location near Clinton Cards and all money placed in it will go to the charity to help fund its dog training programme. The dogs can alert their owners to a range of sounds, including doorbells, phones and fire alarms.

Shoppers are urged to donate their small change to the local charity that provides dogs to be the ears of people with hearing problems and help them lead independent lives

Rotary President, Linda Ingram, and organiser, Christine Seward, were the first ones to drop their pennies into the well.
