Fantastic Four
Four
local youngsters have been chosen as the next ‘Faces of Fareham
Shopping Centre’. Kory Roseby, from Fareham and Chloe Potter, from
Hayling Island, Rhea Mae Scarlett from Swanmore and Lucy Best from Southampton
are set for stardom after being crowned as Fareham Shopping Centre’s “young
stars.”
This year’s competition, in association with Wave105, was the most popular and hard fought it has ever been in its three year history. The format was slightly different this year, with a launch event taking place in the Centre and entries displayed on the Wave 105 Website. Judges also decided upon a shortlist of 12, which was again posted on the Wave105 Website for the general public to vote on, and the winners were announced live on the Steve Power Breakfast Show on 12th October.
The lucky four beat off stiff competition from over 250 applicants and they will now appear in adverts promoting the Centre in local newspapers, on posters and even on the backs of buses, as well as participating in events such as opening the sales in January. All four won a portrait session with Venture, as well as vouchers and goodies from Woolworths, Waterstones, Ferneham Hall, Bhs and Boots.
Pam went on to say, “They are all over the moon and they are already looking forward to opening the Christmas Winter Wonderland with the Mayor of Fareham on 1st December.”
Shoppers visiting the Centre will be interested to learn that M&S have now opened their first floor to accommodate their extensive range of quality clothing.
