Designed to mark the official launch of its new Green Zone, Fareham Shopping Centre’s Green Footstep Challenge has now drawn to a close, and three lucky winners have been drawn.
The thousands of shoppers who visited Fareham Shopping Centre during the first week of the school Easter holidays were invited to search for footsteps hidden around the Centre, each featuring a Green Tip on how ‘small steps’ can ‘lead to big changes’ that impact the environment. Shoppers then entered the tips onto their entry forms and posted them at the Centre’s new Green Zone, which is now situated permanently opposite Vision Express, outside Café Giardino.
The first correct entry drawn was Molly Duffy from Fareham, who has won a fantastic family holiday in a cottage in Cornwall, from Thomas Cook, including tickets to the Eden Project. The second lucky entrant selected, was Laura Thomasson from Fareham, who has won a full set of family camping equipment from Millets, and Matt Churchward, also from Fareham, was the third runner-up and received an ‘Eco-Drive’ watch from Ayling Jewellers.
Pam Gillard, Centre Manager, says: “The Green Footstep Challenge was a hit with shoppers of all ages and was the perfect way to mark the launch of our new Green Zone. I hope that shoppers will continue to visit the Green Zone to learn about small steps that they can take to reduce their impact on the environment, and also to find out what Fareham Shopping Centre is doing to minimise its carbon footprint.”
